Verica Avlijas was born and raised in Sarajevo, FR of Yugoslavia. Since she was a child, drawing was
something she has greatly enjoyed.
She graduated at the Faculty of Law and at the same time with her regular job,
Verica started drawing with acrylics and that medium became the main focus of her work.
She has been running successfully "Kutak" gallery for three years.
Verica lives in Belgrade, Serbia with her family.
